About Shaykh Hamza

Shaykh Hamza is one of the leading proponents of classical learning in Islam. He is the co-founder and current President of Zaytuna College, the United States’ first of its kind Muslim liberal arts college, based in Berkeley, California. Zaytuna College seeks to incorporate the importance of the liberal arts and humanities into a traditional Islamic education curriculum.

Shaykh Hamza is also an advisor to Stanford University’s Program in Islamic Studies as well as a member of the board of advisors of George Russell’s One Nation, a national philanthropic initiative that promotes pluralism and inclusion in America.
