Cuti-cuti ke Paris , Perancis

Salam sejahtera semua , lama rasanya tak mengarang , tapi kali ni cuba nak menbuat sedikit catatan.

KL - PARIS - KL QATAR AIRWAYS

KL - PARIS
DATE 10 MAY 2013 (FRI):
SEAT INFO: SEATS 50A/50B NO SMOKING CONFIRMED

KL - DOHA
KL DEPATURE : 10.20 am DOHA ARRIVAL: 12.50 pm ( DURATION 7.30 hours)
TRANSIT : 1 hour

DOHA - PARIS
DOHA : DEPATURE : 13.55 pm PARIS ARRIVAL: 19.55 pm ( DURATION 7.00 hours)

Bon voyage (at KLIA Satellite Terminal)

 On d way to Doha

Lapar sambung makan…

Makanan rohani

Alhamdulillah dah sampai d Lapangan Terbang Paris Charles-de-Gaulle (CDG)

Awards at British Invention Show 2009

From BRITISH INVENTION SHOW - BIS2009
The medals won were a Diamond, the Best Invention by Salon Archimedes (Russia), a gold and 6 silver medals. The British Invention Show, which was held between 12 and 17 Oct 2009, is the largest innovation and technology expo in Britain. UiTM submitted 8 entries of which all won medals.
From BRITISH INVENTION SHOW - BIS2009
The Diamond was won by junior lecturer Amalina Amir, 26, of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, who contested her product, MIM Route, a device to produce complex metal metalwork. Other than diamond, Amalina also won a gold and the best Invention by Salon Archimedes (Russia). MIM Route is a metal injecting moulding process which can boost mass manufacturing of complex metalwork. Products that need high precision moulding are jewelry, sporting goods, eyeglasses, wristwatches or medical equipment. Other than the mass production this new procedure is environment friendly as it uses a recyclable biopolymer binder.

The gold winning student was Ahmad Zainizan bin Sahdan, 25, who is pursuing his PhD at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. He participated his project on nanowire synthesis using low cost gas blocker in catalyic thermal CVD. His idea was having a semi-conductor nonowire for solar cells where a gas blocker was invented to obstruct the gas flow in a 2-furnace CVD system. The gas blocker produced a better control of gas flow that enables stronger UV emission. Upon winning, Ahmad Zainizan said his invention is suitable to be used as light emitting device such as laser diodes.
From BRITISH INVENTION SHOW - BIS2009

The other 6 silver medals were won by Azizah Hanom Ahmad who contested her invention on Silicon and Dammar as Coating Materials, Khudzir Haji Ismail for his Water-Tetralin Co-solvent System for Coal Liqefaction, Zukifli Abdul Rashid a software for Waste Management, Nor Hayati Avdul Hamid Pre-Cast Hollow Core Wall which can endure earthquake shocks, Ahmad Faizar Jaafar (eWAVE- PTAR) Self-Charging Machine in Libraries, and Mohd Haris Kamarudin Egg Shell Thermal Insulation Board.

Have you found yourself on Google Street View?

Google cam ... they're watching you
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2339394.ece

Millions of people all over the world have been talking about the controversial Google Street View since its launch in Britain last week.

Google "Street View" launches in UK
http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5hrf3ZlafRt4znIohOIqKNWOesk9A

LONDON (AFP) — Google on Thursday launched its controversial "Street View" service in Britain, giving Internet users panoramic street-level images of 25 cities.

The Internet giant said 360-degree pictures of street life in cities from Southhampton to Edinburgh are available on the free mapping service.

Millions of photos, captured by cameras mounted on cars driven last summer, show residential addresses, people and vehicles.

Google says the service -- already available in six other countries including Japan and Australia -- allows users to view panoramas of major streets, look up landmarks and plot driving routes.
But the service has been criticised for invasion of privacy since it was first launched in the United States two years ago.

Google said it had taken steps to address privacy concerns including obscuring people's faces in photographs and blurring licence plate numbers.

"The images you see on Street View are the same images you would see if you were to walk or drive down the road yourself," Ed Parsons, Google's geospatial technologist, said on Thursday.
"If people do not want their homes featured we will take them down, or cut them out of the image," he said.

"We have spoken to Scotland Yard and, from a crime point of view, they are happy with it, there are no issues there," he added.

The Information Commissioner's Office ruled last August that the service contained "adequate safeguards" to protect people's privacy.

The service will be extended to more cities, with the cars continuing to drive through British streets and photographs taken, Parsons said.

Hidden within the British images will be the children's book character Wally.
Cities covered are Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bradford, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, Southampton, Swansea, York
