the Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies.
Keynote Address : Y.BHG. Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Bin Hj Hassan, Chief Secretary to
the Government of Malaysia, Prime Minister’s Department
Backgound of the Programme:
It was started as a Seminar on Malaysia Diplomatic and Administrative Services: Roles & Challenges to Meet the Expectation of National Vision held on 14 January 2008 and has evolved into a bigger project that features the strong teamwork and partnership within the Faculty. In the effort to materialize the dreams and achieve the objectives of the Faculty, students and staff at FSPPP have joined forces to organize a series of lectures by the Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, to be given annually, in a programme called ‘KSN Annual Lecture’. This year, the inaugural Keynote Address will be delivered by Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Mohd. Sidek Haji Hassan, the Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia on 6 October 2009 at Dewan Sri Budiman, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam.
The objectives of this programme are:
• To provide students of FSPPP with the exposure to public services within and outside Malaysia that can be volatile according to developmental changes in the world order.
• To serve as a platform for undergraduates to gain as much knowledge as possible from the expert and from those who formulate and enforce the laws of the country so that the students can hone their skills, in keeping with the changing roles and challenges of public service.
• To inspire the promising leaders of tomorrow, to contribute to the development of the nation through involvement in public service.
